Frida Kahlo Diary
This book has been with me for 10 years. Yes 10 years! I was in Middle School when my obsession with Frida became very much intense and permanent. I had to do a project for my Social Studies class since I was about to repeat the class over the Summer unless I did a A+ worthy presentation, and what else to speak about than something that was so close to my heart in that very instant of my life.
I read day and night, researched documentaries, read love letters from Diego to Frida, you name it: ate, inhaled, exhaled and slept Frida.
I’ve had many diaries like this one myself; with not much words but rough drawings made absentmindedly.
This diary has stayed with me through all these years… but all of mine I’ve thrown away many times over. Making room for more absentminded creativity I guess.
